The fourth event of the WPBSA Q Tour Asia-Pacific series, known as the 2025 Bob Hawke AC Australian Open Snooker Championship, will take place on 9-12 October at the Mounties Club in Sydney and entry remains open.
Organised by the Australian Billiards & Snooker Council, the tournament is the fourth of five events that make up the WPBSA Q Tour Asia-Pacific series and boasts a prize fund of up to $20,000 (subject to entries).
The Bob Hawke AC Australian Open Snooker Championship will immediately follow the World Women’s Snooker Tour‘s Australian Women’s Open, which takes place at the same venue on 4-7 October and was won last year by Mink Nutcharut.
A place at the 2026 WPBSA Q Tour Global Play-Offs, where three World Snooker Tour (WST) two-year tour cards will be on offer, is earned by the cueist who finishes top of the Asia-Pacific series ranking list after the conclusion of the fifth event.
Vinnie Calabrese, who finished first in both of the last two seasons, sits at the summit once again having won the opening event of the campaign. He is closely followed by Steve Mifsud and Cody Turner, who won events three and two respectively.
Calabrese is also the defending Bob Hawke AC Australian Open champion and will be looking to defend his title at the Mounties Club on 9-12 October.
